We were gutted that we missed the Gaia globe, so I'm really pleased we saw the moon. It's pretty amazing, isn't it! The photos were just so spectacular - Andy's book is really interesting but a bit pricey (I've put it on my wish list and I need to have it! LOL!).
With Gaia, if you wait long enough you'll see it. It was meant to be on display in Leeds once but got a puncture. However, it came back a few years later. I also saw it in Liverpool completely by accident!
Actually I was slightly less impressed with the globe than the Moon. Although it was fascinating to see the size of the southern continents compared to Europe
What a remarkable achievement Apollo Remastered is! If it comes to our Franklin Institute’s IMAX, I may just go see it.
I went to Saunders’ Facebook page. In one of his headshots, he looks a bit like Colin Firth.
I love mushrooms! We’re a scant 20 miles from the mushroom capital of the United States, so they’re abundant and relatively inexpensive, at least the common white button mushrooms. I grew shiitake once, in the 70s and more or less by accident. The mushroom log kit I purchased did nothing, so I tossed it in the compost heap, where it thrived.
The Apollo Remastered is really worth going to! Andy has a Northern English accent, which really surprised me as I'd assumed he would have been from the US!
