I don't know what it is about writing, but some days, it really takes it out of me. Writing emotional scenes makes me miserable. The particular scene I was just writing, whereby I am putting my main character through hell - is making me feel awful! For some reason, I really relate to her, maybe she is me. :/ Whatever it is, I am really inside her

I get like that too. That's how I know I'm doing good writing, if it just flows through me and i experience the emotions of the characters. If not, the writing turns out fake and choppy.

Yeah, I know it is a good thing really - but I hate that it brings my mood down. I feel quite crabby now! *lol*

It's the same with me too. Writing can be emotionally exhausting sometimes.

I've heard this can often happen to good actors, too; they get so into the head of the person they are portraying that they start to take on some of the problems of the person. Weird, huh?

Yeah, and when the readers feel the same, it's heavenly writing. And may I say your writing is heavenly. Better than that. Except, it's just not the emotional scenes that are divine. It's all of it.
