Can you create an OpenID account to use it with LJ? If so, let me know what your OpenID account is, and I'll add it to my Friends list here so that you can read and comment on my protected entries from your other account. =)
There's a FAQ that explains in more detail, but I don't remember where it is offhand.
EDIT: Ah, here it is: http://www.livejournal.com/support/faqbrowse.bml?faqid=232. It explains what we'd need to do in order for this to work. Looks like you'd have to post a comment with the OpenID account first, but I have the Public "friends-only" post at the top of my journal that allows all comments, so you could use that if need be. =)
I think I'm going to keep my LJ account open so I can read private entries and respond to people. I'm not sure if I'll keep paying for the premium account though. I'm mainly trying to find a way to move my posts to some central location right now. I think I may subscribe to my own blog then put all my blog posts as shared in google reader... I don't know.
:( One problem with the JoeUser site is its RSS feed seems mildly broken and not very configurable. I wonder if I should send them some feature requests, or just go ahead and make my own site?
