Not in the least. Actually.

page2rss.com is a great "change detector" works with everything but the-whiteboard.com

Google can also auto-monitor (but it doesn't seem as good) if you enter the page url as a feed.

Yeah, I noticed this with a couple of the comics I tried, google's detection just seemed broken.

The whiteboard is one I need to put on there, but I haven't promoted it from "bookmarked comic" to "comic on my webpage" yet. My bookmarked ones are ones I bookmark my last place in them and go through and try to read some of them about once a month...

Will try that site tomorrow with a few of the pages that currently have no rss feed.

BTW, it seems like El Goonish Shive's rss feed is a bit shoddy. The link is back to their news page instead of the comic. :(

And yeah, many comics do to news instead of comic. But sometimes they ping on comic release. If you don't care about that, page2rss :)

That works quite well. Thanks! I'll try to toss the rest of those in later.

Most of the ones I've seen will post both comic and news items. EGS posts both too, but the link is wrong for the comics. Misfile only does news, which is why I listed it there.
