Thank you but I'm full up on friends right now

I feel kind of like an asshole whining, but it's more of a wistful complaint. The other day I was thinking about a friend with whom I've reconnected through FB. She'd moved back into the state when her grandmother was ill and now lives 10 minutes from where we moved in 2010. Oh yes, so true. I've hidden a lot of people on FB. Only have so much time to give to it, and I honestly just want to use it to stay in touch with certain people and stay up-to-date on certain things.

Also, the situation you describe has been a big issue as lots of my raver friends have gotten in touch with me over the last couple years. I have nothing but love for them, but don't have much space in my life now to make for spending time together.

But maybe if you stay in touch, as life and interests evolve, the friends you spend more time with do too. Doesn't have to mean you're abandoning anyone.

I don't have much to add, but I feel the same way about all of this, its like I could have written it myself. Doesn't make you feel any less guilty or wistful or frustrated about having to say no or set limits, or any of that, but its good to acknowledge.
