If I had to hazard a guess, I'd say it's supposed to mean troll. Since it looks a lot like one and all.

And as for the John William guy, it's usually better to just ignore people like that, i.e. asshats and idiots. You might try to "fix" them, but it's usually a waste of time. Anyone capable of being fixed without taking drastic measures is generally not an asshat in the first place.

Oh trust me, I'm not worried about him. As for being a troll... unless the flag were referring to john william, I really doubt it meant troll. OB is a really unique web community in that it's one that prides itself on being a giant group of elitist jerks and abusive pricks. It's an awesome group of elitist jerks and abusive pricks, but the base is still there. The abrasiveness is actually a blessing of sorts, for every awesome poster out there, there are at least a dozen blithering idiots, and said abrasiveness is usually enough drive away most of them, keeping the board generally idiot-free. Honestly, if anything, my post is kinda tame compared to what is normal fare for the board.

Ha ha, don't feel bad about "going to the hospital" - the my doctor is in an office AT the hospital, as many others do. It's like half-hospital, half regular medical practice - what you get depends on what entrance you use.

And I'd agree with the con description, but I'm still the uncool kid who goes to things for the reasons billed, not for some alternate agenda - so I can't agree. Cons for me are still about having geeky fun more than getting naked, shitfaced, and laid. It was the same in college - I was there to get an education in something besides "Sociology and Physiology of Alcohol Consumption" and "Interactive Studies in Human Sexuality." I am SO square.

And yeah, since I don't drink, and try to keep my oogling of girls down, I mostly go to hang out with drunk OBers, and laugh at their antics. That and the dealer room. Not like I really go to watch anime or attend many of the panels on disecting the meaning of EVA.
