[10] Mou toshi no owari... (Already the end of the year...) [action log]

[It's already been this many months, Haruka thought as she sat in her usual spot by the window. With the house getting bigger and bigger, she didn't know what else was to come nor did she want to. Her solemn eyes staring out at the water, her thoughts were dominated by two women: Their supposed future princess and, of course, Michiru. She ( Read more... )

Walking through the big house, Setsuna couldn't help but wonder what price her fellow Senshi would've had to pay to get it. It had been before she came here and she hadn't asked them yet. She wasn't sure she had any right to the information, either. Another puzzle of a past that she didn't know. Everything in this place was so alien to her; she wished herself back, except her mission...

Her mission had been finished, hadn't it? Either that or she had failed. That was improbable. She had faith.

She came to a halt when she spotted Haruka sitting by the window. Alone. She wasn't used to seeing her by herself so often; but then again, coming here had thrown them all out of their usual elements. Haruka was probably as shaken up as Setsuna was.

Either that, or Setsuna just didn't know her very well. This was, in all fairness, rather likely.

"Would you like some company, Haruka-san?" she asked, prepared to respect an eventual need for privacy.

[Haruka glanced towards the voice from the open doorway and returned a faint smile. Meioh Setsuna, the woman Michiru had spoken to her about as well. She recalled her being the other caretaker and their other comrade as an outer senshi.]

Aa... Setsuna, was it? Sure, come in.

[She had sensed it before but things felt more nostalgic around Setsuna, though she wasn't exactly sure why. Pondering for a few minutes, she nonchalantly asked as she stared out the window again.]

Setsuna... What do you think of Sailor moon?

Haruka disregarding formalities was, at least, a familiar characteristic. It was almost a bit of a relieve - she seemed to be preparing herself for surprises all the time, Setsuna thought with some frustration. Not knowing, not being able to predict... it would take some getting used to.

She sat down in a nearby chair, looking out of the window for a moment. Haruka's second question didn't startle her, per say. It had always seemed a bit difficult for both Haruka and Michiru to accept that they would have to trust someone else to deliver the final blow. Trusting someone like Tsukino Usagi... well.

Setsuna could sympathise, somewhat.

"I trust her to do what is right, if that's what you mean." Half the truth, at least. She added, "Provided we support her well enough."

Leaving aside what's right. You don't find her actions jeopardizing one bit? [Haruka coldly glanced towards the senshi, watching the expression on Setsuna's face.]

With the way she's thinking now, she'll end up destroying the world with her own hands one of these days. Saving our enemy... Ridiculous. How could you support someone like that?

[Stepping up behind Haruka, she looked out at the waves beyond the window. But though her gaze lingered over the tossing waves and blustery wind, it was Haruka that naturally held her attention. She could feel the whirlwind emotions of her partner better than anyone, after all]

A rough day on the shore, isn't it?

[Haruka shifted her weight onto her hands against the windowsill to stare out the window again as the two left the room. It wasn't much after, she sensed her presence as a little smile painted her face. She closed her eyes as she listened to her voice. Slowly opening them again, she answered.]

Aa, something's going to happen today. I'm assuming another curse.
