sometimes those plot bunnies are irritating

I'd mentioned in my story note for Into Dust that it was actually the second idea I'd had for the prompt. The first idea: SG-1 gets captured by the Lucian Alliance (I'm thinking it's Kefflin and his bunch). After the IOA refuses to allow a rescue because they say the 'evidence' shows the team as being dead. John doesn't believe the so called ( Read more... )

John rescues SG-1/Cam story brneyestx April 11 2011, 17:45:12 UTC
I didn't watch much of Atlantis but would a hive ship fit through the gate network? Though John would have to rig up a DHD or Rodney could do it if he tagged along.

Hope that wasn't a stupid thought...

No, a hive ship is waaaay too large to fit through a gate. But they do use Darts to travel through them.

To do it this way, John would have to convince Todd to allow himself to be beamed inside the Dart's buffer along with any other wraith they bring along. And thinking about it, John would also need to tell Rodney his plan in order for Rodney to re-write the gate macro again in order to come out to a different gate or planet since he wouldn't be able to come out in the SGC's gate in a Dart. Plus, there is the added problem of a Dart's range of travel if the Lucians' don't have a gate on the planet where SG-1 is being held.

So many details to think of! *brain hurts* But definitely not a stupid thought.

This sounds interesting. The idea with the dart seems good, and Todd could "escape" first (to cover that part of it) and Team Sheppard could "go after him."

Well, then John tells them not to worry and ditches them? I guess that doesn't work if he wants to do it alone...
