That was really imaginative, and heartbreaking, and wonderful, and the promise of what Cam will do when the time comes--oh, ouch.

I'm glad this AU worked for you and it really is heartbreaking (I ended up in tears myself writing it).

Thanks for reading it.

Excellent fic, thanks. You've captured both of their personalities so well. Especially their sense of duty (even when it sucks).

Writing Sheppard still has me almost running scared so you made my day by telling me I caught his personality well.

They both about kill me when it comes to doing their duty over what they want in their hearts.

Thank you!

I like it! But i find it sad. I like how the characters are: teh fact that some see John as a tool and other like he is a person(like Mckey).
What i find the most sad is that i think there are more people who see John as a tool and not a people.
I wonder when John will become a veget ?

That is a very sad aspect of their situation, the way people are treating John. One reason for that is because the situation is due to desperation.

I think that technically they consider John in a vegetative state but they can't really classify him as such because he can still function with help from Cam and there is the fact that his mind is completely interfaced with with Atlantis' systems and because of that his brain has stopped deteriorating. So as long as he's willing to continue living this way and his body is exercised he won't get any worse. Theoretically. :/

Thank you so much for reading!

Ouch. What made this hurt even more is that I (not being the biggest John/Cam fan) couldn't help imagining how it would play out if John didn't have Cam, and - ouch.

Oh god, I don't even know how that would go down if John didn't have Cam. Though, personally, I think that John would stop trying to connect with his body and allow it to fade away and die while he stayed a part of Atlantis because he wouldn't want his body to be maintained (or experimented on) by that quack scientist Sandis.

Thank you so much for reading.
