Little Black Dress Ficathon is a Go, baby!

I blame the boys for being so lovely to read about (and ivorygates for being an enabler) but the sign up post for Cameron & Daniel: Little Black Dress Ficathon lilblckdressfic has just gone up.

Come one, come all because I know that there are quite a few admirers of Cameron Mitchell and Daniel Jackson out there and the boys need some lovin.

I'm always very anal about filling out paperwork (hey, no pun intended!), so help me interpret the sign-up instructions?

(up to) Three prompt requests - Would that be 3 things you want in one story? Or 3 things, any one of which you would like to see in the story you receive?

Setting request: Optional? (and of course I'm wondering if it would have to fit all 3 prompts)

Prop request: ditto

Seriously, I agonize over this kind of stuff.

:-)

(Oh! And it's "pinch" hitter. *g*)

1. Up three prompt requests: That means it gives the writer three different possible scenarios to choose from or they can combine them in one story.

2. Setting request: Where you'd like to see it taking place. For example, I'd asked for a bar in the middle of nowhere.

3. Prop request: an object you'd like to see one of the characters to use specifically within the story.

(Oh! And it's "pinch" hitter. *g*)

Really? I've always thought it was 'pitch' hitter. I've run three ficathons now and no one told me! *facepalm*

But does this help out in anyway? I guess I should come up with a FAQ, for some reason I always think that folks have more experience at ficathons than me.

And you're not the only one that agonizes over this kind of thing, I know I still do. It took me forever to come up with a third prompt over coming up with a quote to use instead.

You can do a FAQ after the assignments go out - that's where it'll come together. Most people (who aren't me) can handle the prompt portion without any problem!

I just won't worry about it and let my writer do all the worrying. ;-)
