Alrighty, here is Chaper 5. It seems that my posts are getting too big for LJ to be happy and it keeps grumbling at me...oops! I cut this chapter short to try and fix the problem. I'll tack it on to chapter 6 instead, which means Ch 6 will get out sooner! Also, one person requested a quick summary of what's happened so far. So before I post, here

Oh, Arthur and Gwain are so mean! (in a good/bad boys way) yes, Merlin is a bit inexperienced, but I feel bad that he felt embarrassed when they were making fun of him.

Aww you're so lovely! I have the party scene written (Merlin is definitely adorable at the party!) and I promise to have it posted soon. Poor Merlin is being given a bit of a hard time by Arthur and Gwaine, isn't he? Well, I promise Arthur will be a little nicer to him in the next bit and Gwaine...well, he's just Gwaine. Such a silly man. :) If it helps, I don't think they mean to be mean to Merlin!

Well, Agravaine is certainly a spanner in the works and Merlin and Arthur are getting no alone time at all. It's lovely that he's getting along so well with Gwen and Morgana, though, and the girls know he's gay without him ever having to say anything.

The boys poking fun at him for being a virgin and then not letting Merlin in on the gag really is frustrating and it's probably going to get Arthur moving even slower than he was before. I didn't think that was possible!

This party already sounds like a terrible idea. Arthur has work in the morning and Merlin's underage and Gwaine is a trouble magnet. I can't wait to see what happens!

Oh yes, Agravaine is well...aggravating (sorry, really terrible pun but I just couldn't resist!). And the girls are just sweet :) I mean, Gwen likes him immediately. Heehee, I think he needs friends, poor dear, he's just quite alone back home.

As for the boys...well, they're kind of foolish, right? Arthur wants to ensure he's not doing anything wrong and Gwaine is just Gwaine. He can be brash but he's a lovely guy, really! I've almost finished reworking the party scene, I hope you'll like it!!! I'm so happy you're enjoying it so far. Your comments make my day!

This is wonderful! Every time I think I know where the story might be going, you put something in which makes me question my assumptions. This is a really clever piece of writing :-)

If Arthur were here with me now, I would be knocking his head against the wall! I empathise with what he's feeling; it seems that he's frightened he'll lose Merlin's friendship if he risks taking it to the next level. And he's over-analysing everything; like where Merlin happened to be in the bed when he woke up.

I hope the boys can find more time to be together just the two of them, especially without Gwaine! Gwaine, I think, will do one of two things: he'll push our boys together, or he'll create more trouble than either can handle. Brunettepet's right; Gwaine's a trouble magnet!

Wow, I'm really getting into this story! I'm actually feeling anxious for the characters! I'm eagerly watching for an update, you're keeping me glued to my screen :-)

Arthur does do things sometimes that you just want to smack him for, doesn't he? He's a lovely boy though, really. He's definitely over-analysing, but we all do that when we're unsure. I don't think he's used to being unsure so it's quite unsettling for him and making him move slowly.

I'm not telling what happens with Gwaine *shifty look* but he is definitely trouble!!! :P
