*chuckles* it was a very -small- tornado. still quite startling, and quite a bit of damage. it seems to be highly localized, though.

That's the sort of thing that's only supposed to happen far away to people you don't know. How scary to have it happen to your own hometown! I'm so glad that you, your family and your house are okay!

thank you! yes, it is sort of scary, although for me it's mostly a post-event scariness. rumors went around that morning at work about dire weather forecasts, but so often nothing comes of it. it wasn't until we drove out on the roads to get dinner (due to no power at house) that I realized that the storm had been much worse than I thought. we're devoutly thankful to have missed the brunt of it, personally. :)
