Lol, not exactly. We told her we were making a gag gift for a friend who was getting married and needed a doll in a wedding dress. She tried really hard to think of helpful things: maybe we could get a cake topper, or could we get a bear in a veil at someplace like Hallmark? Couldn't explain that a cake topper was likely to have sculpted hair you couldn't take out, and a bear couldn't be painted white ;)

lol, what an idea! Looking forward to seeing how it came out, but it sounds awesome.

Well said on the rarity of dolls with bridal gowns.

Only thing is that (slim figure and long blonde hair aside) Princess Bride Barbie bears surprisingly little resemblance to this.

Yeah, I was kind of disappointed that the name wasn't a reference to the movie. I assume she was named that to cash in on the frenzy around the royal wedding?
