One of my plans for Rambleverse was that Jim was eventually finagle himself into the Spock/Uhura relationship, mostly by virtue of looking really sad and pathetic after Bones gets transferred back to Earth. There was going to be a whole relationship arc, including: blanket-fic set on Delta Vega, though it's more like cacoon-fic because Star Fleet

The remainder of this, which was never written, was going to involve Spock "nesting" in the bedclothes and arranging his mates like dolls. And also maybe blocking the doorway, in case of predator. >>
