Honestly I wouldn't change much of anything-- I don't want full-out porn, necessarily, just a slight ramping-up of the psycho-sexual subtext which may or may not have been intended.

IDK, the male relationships in the trilogy are all very interesting, and that's satisfying on its own, but then we get to the power dynamics and violence that I can't help but sexualize....

...I can see how that would work for The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly but am coming up a bit short on how you'd manage it with the other two.

Also I'm amused by how perfectly the titles work.

In For A Few Dollars More, Clint Eastwood and Lee Van Cleef have a meet cute wherein Eastwood shoots Van Cleef's hat off his head, then shoots it further down the street every time he tries to pick it up. Then, when Eastwood's six shooter is empty, Van Cleef shoots off his hat and shoots it midair three or four times.

Then the film cuts to a hotel room and their hats are on the table, brims overlapping, and Eastwood steals Van Cleef's cigarette to light his own.

And besides that in all three movies there's a lot of people getting knocked around and tied up and threatened with guns and wearing spiffy hats, but that caters to a very particular taste, I suppose.
