I was told by possibly_thrice that I should "FOLLOW MY EXAMPLE, WHICH IS TO INANELY POST EVERYTHING THE INSTANT I WRITE MORE THAN LIKE FIVE HUNDRED WORDS OF IT NO MATTER WHAT. 8D

See you and clodia_metelli and people will insist that they are somehow 'besmirching' my name or like 'blaming' me, and I just don't understand it because the only things that I ever inspire are SHEER DISTILLED AWESOME so, like, what is with this negative verbage, eh, when clearly the correct terms are 'crediting' and, I dunno, what is the opposite of besmirching? Um. Burnishing?
Yeah. This burnishes me, baby. That's just how awesome it is.
and after the marathon they begin playing Dungeons and Dragons regularly and Spock is an illusionist gnome.
HMM. So, if I am reading this correctly, your ire at clodia_metelli the other day was ENTIRELY SPECIOUS?? EH???
and omgggggg Sulu is totally the GM and he gets into it with evil cackling and different voices for all the NPCs and everythingggg. and Jim gets, like, REALLY HORRIBLE STATS on his character roll so Uhura's character is always having to rescue him, and Jim calls her his handsome hero, and and and Chekov plays by the stats/mechanics, of course, but McCoy is a character player, and and Spock takes the whole thing CRAZY SERIOUSLY and has to think out every single move goddamn.
Writing a fanfic about re-imagined characters from a 60s TV sci-fi show playing an RPG using characters a benchmark fantasy series is just a little too po-mo for me tonight. And that's without mentioning the McCoy-Urban-Eomer connection.
ETA: Although I suppose a little round-robin brainstorming would be harmless.... :P
I like adorkable!Jim because it helps me mesh Reboot!Jim and TOS!Jim, because TOS!Jim was, of course, a big geek at the academy and continued to fanboy dorky things like Shakespeare and ancient weapons.
ETA: and yaaaaay I made you happy. Was something particularly terrible about today?
ooh, alright, I'll have to think of something. I also eagerly await whatever you come up with for the Norrington+Sulu
Ha! I am likewise reminded. speaking of, I still have a good portion of that brainstorm c+p to a word document (50 pages, jeezy creezy) on my hard drive if you'd like a copy? idk. :D
okay, here's a prompt: something ridiculous happens on the Enterprise and Jim isn't involved (for once). I'm leaning toward food fight, though that's negotiable.
(another thought I had was a Rocky Horror watching fete thing with Jim running around trying to get everyone to wear bustiers and fishnets and sing along, because he would)
apparently I am in the mood for fun and cracky space shenanigans?

"Because," Jim says patiently, "you just signed off because you didn't care either way. I want you to agree with me."
"Remember that talk we had about directing your energies wisely?" Pike says.

And yeeeeah, Jim is a "give an inch, take a mile" kind of guy, isn't he?

Adorkable!Jim is probably the best Jim there is.

Do you want to give me any more prompts? I've been chewing on the Norrington+Sulu for a bit but I don't yet have an idea ~~~brilliant enough for you.
P.S. all the RPG brainstorming reminded me of those halcyon days, long ago, when I was working on an MCR RPG and things became equally ridiculous....
