After having the discussion with Maddy about her parents, Kayla grew concerned in helping a friend out. Of course by helping her out, she decided to discuss anything -- whatever Maddy wanted, over a warm beverage. Preparing to make two mugs of coffee for herself and good friend, Kayla placed the coffee filter inside the filter basket

Maddy sits down and pushes loose strands of hair behind her ears. She feels very comfortable in Kayla's home, it feels warm.

"Um, just black. Thank you."

Nodding to show her acknowledgment, Kayla poured the steamy liquid into two thick mugs. Leaving them in their spot, she placed a small cup of cream and a container of sugar on the table's center.
"So, Maddy.."
Kayla carefully handed Maddy the cup of coffee before having a seat with hers in her hand, "Have you found anything else out on your parents?" She asked with a concerned expression while pouring the desired amount of sugar into her coffee.

Maddy wraps her hands around the cup, something she always does as she likes the feel of the warmth. She breathes in the familiar smell of the coffee, something that reminds her of her parents, but she's not sure why.

"Leo's very careful with what he tells me," Maddy frowns. "He won't tell me what or who they're protecting me from. But he did tell me that my middle name, Vala, means 'The Chosen One.'"

Kayla raised her eyebrows in amazement. Not only is her middle name unique and pretty, but it's meaning has just as much beauty. Finally soaking in Maddy's frown, Kayla felt the need to give a slight pout. She has always been very empathetic. She can't help her sensitivity.

"Are you holding up okay?" She asked before sipping her hot beverage.
