After a few calming breaths, he brought his closed fist to his forehead and opened it to scrub his hand down his face and back up through his hair. “Why isn’t he here dealing with it? I can’t deal with it. I can’t,” he said quietly

Yeah, it's a threesome fic. And they also didn't know which one was the biological father either... This one has a lot of h/c between all parties.

All that remained, looking as immaculate as the day they were purchased, were the four-poster bed, dresser and nightstand

He'd become complacent. That's the only excuse he could find for the reason he just blurted the question out of his mouth without checking with his brain. As soon as the words were out there, he wanted to rewind the last few seconds and do it over again. But in real life, that was not possible. So, he closed his eyes and braced himself for the inevitable response of, "You want to do what?!" followed by him being kicked out of bed

Ooooh, this could be interesting! So, let me just clarify (seriously, my brain is full of cotton today). Are Gibbs and Anthony married, or more of a shacking-up type deal in addition to Gibbs being Captain of the Guard?

Essentially they are married. Gibbs is Prince Consort. This is actually a snippet from the almost very end of the fic. The majority will have them pre-relationship and in the field/battle together.
