Of course I've turned off "Comics Outlining" which just makes my eyes hate my brain - 3d-rendered objects with outlines are a bit too tromp on the oiel for me.
My friend said it best: "I can understand how anyone that does animation for a living would probably hate Champions Online..."
And I'm not joking about the graphics causing migraines. Four of our gaming group couldn't play longer than an hour, with me being the lowest tolerance (5-10 minutes) without getting nasty migraines. Another person said "Well then just turn the bloom count down and turn off the Comic Outlining." Perhaps, but that's like, "Well if cream in your coffee gives you migraines, take out the cream..." Problem is, it's not the cream, it's still the coffee...
That sounds completely atypical of my experience, but then, with City of Heroes, Penny wasn't able to play it at all due to vertigo from the sudden changes in direction. I wonder if it's to do with having a different way of looking at the image that's fatiguing to a different part of the brain.
I got non-pain migraines and intense nausea playing Portal, for what that's worth.
For me, if I'm extremely tired, I think I can't judge camera directional changes well, so I'll get really ill playing TF2 as well. I think the camera change paired with graphics that someone interact that way, give me the migraine symptoms.
It's fine, I just hope I don't get that kind of reaction to the new Star Wars MMO that's coming out :3
Disappointed was an understatement. Unfriendly user interface, bad modeling and animation... The graphics were just BAD, and the plot (alien invasion, blue forcefields, o noez) was SUCH an obvious ripoff of CoH... C'mon, Cryptic! Something NEW, maybe?

Shame about CO though.. I'd had hoped it wouldn't be quite so awful.
