So, Arcadia by Tom Stoppard is my actual favorite play ever written, though I have yet to see the perfect production of it. (I've seen two different productions, one in Chicago and one in Washington, both of which were really great in some areas and glaringly weak in others, but both interesting to watch.) Yay, Arcadia! I didn't realize you could read it online, that's neat! I have never seen it, but I read it for the first time earlier this year and it was pretty cool how everything fit together. Also I just really love stuff where math and literature come together--Proof is one of my favorite movies, and I've read the original play as well.

It's just so dreadfully CLEVER, you know? And Proof is another excellent one, although I vastly prefer the play to the movie.

Oh my god, I didn't know you missed the revival of it. It is actually the only live production I've ever seen and mostly I'm bummed out that you missed Billy Crudup as Bernard! Because he was awesome! He was so awesome that he out shone Raul for me, and I am something of a Raul Esparza fangirl.

But, oh, Stoppard ♥ ♥ ♥

Crudup is really...not who I'd picture as Bernard, but I'm still sorry I missed it. (I can easily see him as Septimus, which he played in the original production.) OH STOPPARD indeed.
