That 'slowing time down that it becomes imperceptively slow' thing reminds me of the dichotomy paradox (the one where eg an arrow has to reach halfway point before it reaches the target and there's an infinite number f halves) as well as Inception where the time get halved (or doubled, idk I'm confused) per layer.

YES!!! That's EXACTLY what I meant about time slowing down! Yes! that infinite moment between a hummingbird's wings flapping, that moment just before the arrow breaches its target.
