Darren G. Davis' Bluewater Productions, infamous for their political, celebrity and now religious comics, is tackling a niche. That's fine. Even if the quality of their comics is questionable, if it sells then all is good. Did the publisher at Bluewater get paid?
Did the printer get paid?
Did the guy putting together the book get paid?
In short, did everyone else get paid but you?
That makes you the sucker.

And gawd, why would I ever stick around to do 12 books if I was never paid for the first one? If you aren't going to be paid, at least do your own work, the kind you want, and try to break in that way.

What amazes me is that places like this continually find new artists willing to work for free...come on people, don't be that desperate!
