What would happen if Ned from Pushing Daisies touched a vampire? And would it make a difference if the vampire had a soul or not?

I've been thinking about this all day.

Oh my God, I was talking about this with goldenusagi the other day. We decided that Angel would shanshu that way *nod* (Except for the part where he gave up his shanshu.) Don't really think souls make a difference one way or the other. Unless there's some feature of Ned's ability that make them so. (Only watched the first few episodes of that show.)

Hah, that's hilarious! My friend and I came up with everything from "they're different types of magic and nothing would happen" to Ned's abilitiy reading a vampire's dead-but-not-quite-ness as having already been touched once, so the first touch would dust them right away, thus spawning a new spin-off series, Ned the Vampire Slayer.

The soul idea came from pondering whether Ned's ability actually puts people's souls back in their dead body. I don't think it's ever really explained that much in the show.

OMG I just got that icon too! ;D xclaire-delunex, right? Man, I spend most days obtaining icons. You should see my BtVS/AtS icons folder. YOU'D BE JEALOUS.

I think one touch would make a vampire human. Though NtVS would be fairly awesome.

And as for the soul, it would be restored to a soulless vampire becoming human again. But it wouldn't make a difference with Angel or Spike. That's my theory. *nod*

Ha, icon hunting is an ~intense~ ordeal for me. I decide I want icons for a fandom, spend hours trawling different communities, save the handful I like to a photobucket album, keep track of the people who made them, and then narrow down that handful even further so I don't use up all my icon slots. (And yes! I just couldn't resist Rogue Demon Hunter Wesley.)

Or maybe one touch would just restore the soul without making them human and create more Angels and Spikes. Oh, the possibilities are endless. Someone should ask the creators of both shows. I would watch Ned the Vampire Slayer.
