That is a cute app. Have you yet read Pride&Prejudice&Zombies? (if not, skip it) Sense&Sensibility & Sea Monsters was far better.
Yesterday I harvested my cherry tree completely (about a quart). The communal tree nearby is doing much worse, overripe/fruit fly infested. Once we get cooler temps in the afternoon I'm going to go start bulk harvesting it, but I expect to discard most if not all the fruit.
I was genuinely sincere about being willing to do your tree (harvest, wash, process). I can pit easily. Freeze raw, freeze cooked whole cherries, or many other cooked/raw options including starting a dehydrator load. If you want canning, you probably need to chat with Paisley's S. instead. The orchards in the neighborhood aren't ripe yet, so I have no idea when yours will be.
I haven't read any of the Austine with additions, but they seem like a fun concept.
I'm totally up for taking you up for processing. I'm leaning towards dried, and we have a dehydrator if you don't, but I should probably double check with Groblek, and make sure there's enough on the tree to be worth harvesting. Our yard's kind of jungle like, so it wouldn't be a massive hit on things to let them fall if they're not worth harvesting.
I'm more about the "interrupt life cycle of pest insects" than "oh boy CHERRY PROCESSING YAY" but if my little 4-yr tree can put out a full quart, then your tree probably has something worthwhile.
