I love how all the symptoms are exactly the same as any other strain of influenza - yet they attach 'swine' on it, say it really loud and scary, and expect mass panic. At the flu.

Mass media is stupid - they have to blow something out of proportion to get readers/viewers.

At least no one I know is buying it as the next big pandemic - like bird flu was supposed to be the last time the news sources latched onto some big scary strain of the same thing.

I hear ya. I am so tired of hearing people freaking out about the swine flu. I called my mum this morning and she told me to stay out of public places. There is something like 34 cases here in Canada and I have to stay inside? Yeah right.

Oh god, yes, the swine flu panic everyone's trying to create *facepalm*. I was very amused when I saw an icon of what I suspect to be(come) a new meme: the person in the icon with a photoshopped mask over their mouth and nose. ^^
