Unless you really like musicals, I suggest skipping Sweeney Todd. I went Friday night because a couple friends thought it'd be fun and, having not seen previews, I figured I'd at least get some Johnny Depp eye candy. My thoughts: I definitely needed more than the 2.5 beers I had beforehand to make it tolerable. (...but I can't stand musicals, and almost all of it's in song. Plus, Depp doesn't even look good so my whole eye candy theory went out the window.)

My girlfriend probably wound up with a bruised leg the next morning because I'd reach over and punch her every half hour or so... ;-)

I think everyone put off or just got too busy for shopping this year. Several people mentioned that they were going to be doing gift shopping yet this weekend. I just finished a stack of cards for friends and still have some family yet to do. Plus, I was thinking of getting gifts for a few more friends. I probably won't be done until the first of the year.

I want to see The Golden Compass and I Am Legend too. I am thinking about talking D into going to a theater during break. We've never liked going to theaters, but one of those two movies might be worth it.

Thank you! I did have virtual gifts disabled, although I don't remember why I did that. I changed it back.
