But in the process of finding her best friend, Johnny happens to hire her. & she’s no ordinary person, like she doesn't do the makeup or whatever. She's the VERY first girl to join Johnny's (and no, she is NOT cross-dressing). And in amidst all her rise to fame, she falls head over heels for someone in JUMP.

As the night slowly disappeared to a rising sun, the Earth welcomed the morning. Streaks of light fell through the blinds as the boys slept soundly. While the time slowly passed, the birds began to wake up; the chirping growing louder, but yet it still had its musical feel.

When the sun was high enough in the sky, and it was late enough in the day, the streaks of light coming into the room hit Chinen Yuri squarely in his face, jolting him out of his peaceful slumber.

Sitting up and rubbing his eyes, he felt as if something was missing, or in this case some ones. Looking to his left, where Ami slept, was empty, and across the room, the other bed was unoccupied too.

Where did the girls go?

Forcing himself out of bed, the sleepy boy made his way back to the game room.

Opening the door, so he didn’t wake any of the other members up, Chinen quickly poked his head in. The sounds of mumbling, snoring, and other guy-like noises met his ears. The room was pitch black except for the light of a forgotten lamp.

Even in his tired state, he decided to make use of himself. Taking a deep, long breath, he prepared for a LOUD wake up call.

“OHAYO GOZAIMASU JUMP!!!!!!!!!!!”

With the sudden loud voice, nine other heads shot up, complete with protests, moaning, and complaining.

“Oi! Chinen! Did you have to wake us up?” Takaki called from his place on the couch.

Nodding his head vigorously, Chinen turned on the bright, fluorescent lights, getting even more complaining in the process.

“Ughhh! Chinen!!! Turn of those freaking lights!!!!!!!” Ryosuke moaned as he ducked his head under the blanket again.

“No! You guys, you have to wake up! Shounen Club! Remember? Filming starts later, and also, I think Ami and Kaori are making breakfast.” He gestured over his shoulder.

As he did so, the smell of an English breakfast floated up the stairs.

Jumping up, Keito ran to the door and sniffed the air.

“Mmmmm… French toast. My favorite. Ami’s French toast is the best!” In a flash, the English boy dashed down the stairs, asking what was for breakfast besides toast.

“French toast? What’s that?” Chinen innocently turned to the oldest Best member, who was getting up.

“It’s some food. Go down and find out. We’ll be there in a bit.”

“Okay then…”

Before leaving, Chinen lightly kicked Hikaru, who was still asleep by the door, and made his way down stairs.

The smells of cinnamon, eggs, and pancakes met his nose as he entered the kitchen.

His facial expression was priceless, the look of awe and hunger.

On the tables, there were plates of muffins, pancakes, eggs, French toast, everything you could possible have for a traditional English breakfast.

Keito was right then, Ami could cook.

Mouth still gaping, Chinen took a seat next to Keito, who was drooling over the plate of toast right in front of his face.

Just when he was about to ask Keito about the drooling business, Ami walked in, with a plate full of freshly baked muffins.

“Ohayo Chinen! Did you sleep well? I hope the rest of Jump is down before this all gets cold…” Ami said cheerfully as she placed the plate on the table.

Kaori came in, taking the seat on Keito’s right.

“Oh, it was a good sleep. Did you really make all of this?” Chinen gestured with his forefinger to all the foods surrounding his face.

“Yes, with the help of Kaori. We couldn’t sleep very well, so we decided to wake up early and make a gigantic breakfast!” Ami flung her arms out in excitement.

“I thought I would give Jump some of the England that Keito and I have known for quite some time.”

Smiling, Ami took a seat across from the two love birds.

“Well, go on. Have some Chinen!” Ami offered him some of the French toast.

As they four were eating, the rest of Jump came in, gawking at the site of how much food two girls could whip up in a few short hours. They boys took their seats, Daiki sitting next to Ami of course, and they began eating. Pigging out is more accurate.

Hikaru, trying but not succeeding to be funny, stuck up two straws from his orange juice up his nose, pretending to be a walrus. A joke he thought would earn him laughs, but the only thing he got was a glare from the shortest Jump member and a piece of butter landing squarely on his forehead.

Screaming in agony about how much the butter ‘burned’ Yabu was forced to escort the idiot to the bathroom, lecturing him about how acting stupid was just plan stupid and that he should just grow up.

When Hikaru was out of the room, the people left at the table began breaking into fits of giggles, so mush so that Chinen had a wide smirk on his face.

The clock ticked eleven in the morning and the dishes were cleared away and placed in the dishwasher. Everyone trudged upstairs and began to get ready for the day. Shounen Club was scheduled to film at two in the afternoon and to air at around seven in the evening.

They had exactly seven hours to get all the shots and call it a day. It was Hell week all over again.

Arriving at the studio at exactly noon, Ami was whisked away into hair and make up, for filming was to begin at one o’clock sharp. The three finalists were to wear the costume they wore when they performed the night before.

Just thinking about Maemi’s outfit made Ami want to gag and tear it, along with her, to shreds.

But as usual, Maemi came into the dressing room with her usual entourage. Hair people, make up people, the works. Why would someone like her deserve all these people? Then again, maybe she gave them special treatment, considering all the people surrounding her were guys.

Ami laughed to herself as she and Kaori began to put her outfit back on.

Looking around, she spotted Yuki sitting on the couch alone, twiddling her fingers nervously. From far away, she really looked like a lost child, but up close, she was a complete nervous wreck. Kaori already wandered off to go find Keito, so Ami made herself comfortable as she sat down beside the other girl.

“Yuki, you nervous?” She asked, a bright but nervous smile on her own face.

“A little. Just kind of worried if… she wins though.” Yuki nodded her head in Maemi’s general direction.

Seeing the little gesture, Maemi blew hateful kisses at them. Smirking, both Yuki and Ami returned the gesture.

“Well, I highly doubt she’ll win. I even don’t understand how the judges let her move on. Maybe she slept with them?” A glint of mischievousness sparkled in her chocolate brown eyes.

“Ha, that maybe true. I agree, I shouldn’t be so worried.” Yuki smiled, the nervousness disappearing from her voice and her facial features.

“I’m sure you’ll do fine.” Ami gently placed her hand on Yuki’s forearm.

“Remember, everyone always wins.”

“Yeah, I guess Ami. But I really, really want to win. I want to actually have something worth talking about.”

Yuki’s gaze wasn’t on Ami now, but in some far off land, some where that wasn’t here defiantly.

“Well, if you keep worrying about it, it’ll just give your worry lines and you won’t able to keep that pretty face of yours prefect!”

“You really think so?” Yuki’s cool gaze was on her once more.

“I know so. If not, how come I’m still here?”

They both laughed, letting the laughter make their worries and fears wash away, to be thought about another time.

Soon after, the director popped his head in and asked for the three girls to get on stage, filming was to begin shortly.

- - - - - - - - - -
The stage was defiantly different than it was on T.V. It was much larger, and the lights brighter.

They were to be standing in this order: three Jump members, a finalist, two Jump members, a finalist, two Jump members, a finalist, and three Jump members.

As the camera men checked the angles, the excitement on stage was undeniable. Even Maemi looked less meaner then usual. Then again, Hikaru was putting his moves on her. That baka of a person never learned did he?

When the angles were set, filming to began.

In his well practiced voice, Yabu began to introduce Hey! Say! Jump, following with the introduction of the finalists.

“For this episode of Shounen Club, we have something rather new happening. Johnny-san has decided to have a competition; the winner happens to have the privilege of performing a song of their choice with us, Hey! Say! JUMP. But before we announce the winner, we should get to know the finalists….”

The rest of the filming proceeded on like this. Each Jump member was able to ask each girl one question, regarding school, likes or dislikes, interests, et cetera.

As minutes droned into hours, the filming proceeded. Cuts were called if one of the boys messed up; whoever messed up, Maemi was the one giggling like a boat engine.

God, that girl seriously needs to get herself checked for something alright. Wait… I shouldn’t be thinking about this! I have better things to worry about!

When the director was satisfied for the time being, he gave them a break. As they were getting off stage, the Juniors’ filed on, getting ready to film their segment.

After getting off stage, Ami sighed. Being in costume was tiring and it was hot, very hot on the stage. Especially with those lights beamed straight at you for hours on end, I bet you’d feel like you were cooking.

Taking a swig of her water bottle, Ami collapsed on the couch; mumbling something incoherent as her arms covered her face.

Poke.

Ami grumbled.

Poke.

Another grumble.

Poke.

“AGH!!! WHAT IS IT??!?!?!?” Ami shouted as she sat up.

“Just wondering if you were dead,” said a very innocent looking Chinen.

“What’s with that look on your face?”

“Huh? What look?” As quickly as he had come, the little boy was out the door.

“Pshhh… like he doesn’t know what I’m talking about,” she mumbled under her breath.

The minutes passed and then the director shouted once more, bringing Ami out of her daze and back to the real world.

If only time would stop, but of course life moves on and so does she.

- - - - - - - - - -
It was the final cut; it was the announcing of the winner.

Everyone was on edge, even the Jump members were, for they didn’t even know who each other voted for.

But before the winner could be announced, the text message votes and the online votes had to be tallied to.

The finalists and Jump were just told about these votes, which just puts even more pressure on the girls.

Ami’s palms began to sweat, Yuki began to fidget, and Maemi just stood there, looking like she owned the entire world.

As the judges finished adding every thing, the results were handed to Yabu who in turn thanked the Junior who delivered it to him.

The audience fell silent as Yabu opened the envelope; not a word was uttered, not a noise was heard. The only sound was coming from the envelope, everyone and everything else was still. The air became tense.

As soon as the envelope was opened and the result was out, everyone sucked in air. Only Yabu’s voice remained calm as he began to read.

“And the winner is….”

It felt like time was set into slo-mo. Everything was moving so slowly, even the words coming from Yabu’s mouth were too slow for her to comprehend.

She glanced at everyone else’s faces. Yuki looked like she was going to hurl, Maemi was in her own little world, sending little flirt smiles in Daiki’s direction. She felt like she was going to pass out.

Chinen was standing there, fingers crossed, and mumbling someone’s name as his head was bowed in concentration.

It was then that it was said; the name of lucky girl was spoken.

It was…

Yuki.

And then time stopped.
