Summary: This girl travels to Japan to find her best friend. But in the process of finding her best friend, Johnny happens to hire her. & She's no ordinary person, like she doesn't do the makeup or whatever. She's the VERY first girl to join Johnny's (and no, she is NOT cross-dressing). And in amidst all her rise to fame, she falls head over heels for someone in JUMP.
- Hey! Say! JUMP Dance Practice -
After Yabu let Ami join in the dance practice, things started to well… get interesting.
Before joining in, Ami sat and watched the routine as they ran through it once more, just to show her what the moves where and how things were pretty much done. And after observing them for a few minutes, changing into shorts and a tee shirt, she was willing to join them.
“-and that’s the whole dance.”
Ami nodded her head.
“Do you think you can keep up?”
Another nod.
“Okay… why don’t you join us then?”
“Okay, Yabu-kun.”
“Good and a 5, 6… 5, 6, 7, 8”
The song of Your Seed burst through the stereos, the karaoke version of course, and bodies began to move. Knowing the dance by heart, even though she only saw it twice, Ami fit right in. Being the ‘eleventh’ member, and shorter than Chinen by a sad one centimeter, JUMP let Ami be in the front during the formation of the letter S.
Everything was flawless, even with an extra person added to the mix. It was as if they all knew what to do, with out even being aware of it themselves. Like… they were all meant to do this dance, together.
- Two hours later -
“Good job Ami!” Hikaru cheerfully aid, while patting her on the back.
“Hehe, thanks Hikaru.”
Hikaru shot her a wide smile and headed for the locker room.
Sighing in relief, Ami took a swig of her water bottle, and sat down to relax.
“Maa~ same old Ami huh? Always good at everything she does.”
“Oh, hush Keito. You can dance to. May I remind you I’m not the one who’s famous out of the two of us?”
“Good point, but I bet that if you write a song, learn how to play it and come up with I dance, I’ll bet you’ll be famous too. Maybe you should join Hello! Project.”
“Hmm.. tempting, but no thanks. I kind of like the life of a normal teenager at the moment.”
“Pfft. be honest with your self Ami. You’re not normal, we both know that, and I bet the rest of JUMP does too.”
Ami sighs, “How am I ‘different’ then?” making air quotes around different.
“Think about it,” Keito sat down next to her, and began to recall.
“-you’ve always been at the top of your class, at like everything.”
“That’s because I study.”
“Sure it is.”
“It is!”
“And you’re always pushing yourself, at everything. For instance, I saw the way your face looked concentrating on getting the dance right. And within two hours, you actually had it down!”
“So, I have perseverance then.”
Keito sighed, shaking his head. “Well, you think what you want Ami, but I suggest you use my idea.”
“Huh? What idea?”
“Maybe you should write a song, and use it to make yourself famous.”
“Hmm… I don’t know.”
“Just think about it ‘kay?”
Keito got up and place his hand on Ami’s shoulder and gave it a tight squeeze.
“Fine. I will.”
Ami smirked, knowing deep down, maybe Keito was right. Then again, when has he ever been wrong to her?
- Ami’s Apartment -
Huh, maybe Keito is right. Maybe I should write a song… but what kind of song?Hmmm… pop? No, I don’t know how to get a beat going. Rock? Na, I don’t play any ‘rock and roll’ instruments.
Taking a look around her room, the only instruments in there were an acoustic guitar that she had put of learning in the corner, and her piano.
Taking a deep sigh, Ami settled for her piano. Considering the fact that it was the only instrument she could play at the moment.
Seating herself at her white piano, Ami began to think. She had to come up with some lyrics first, so she set to work and broke out her notebook.
At the moment, she couldn’t think of any ideas. Most of the songs she knew were from popular singers like… like… like famous people. And right now, Ami had completely no idea what she had gotten herself into.
How am I supposed to write a song? Hmm… and idea. I need an idea.
Looking around her room, she tried to look for inspiration. Nothing seemed to pop out, since she just moved her a few weeks ago. There were still some boxes left unopened in the corner of her room. But the thing that caught her eye the most was the color of the walls.
A pale blue… she thought. I can work with this.
It was well after midnight, and after hours of writing and scribbling out and writing some more, she finally got some lyrics down.
They go something like this…
From the sky to the sea, there’s no happiness for me.
All my life, all I see only painful memories.
Sad goodbyes, callous words, left me shy and insecure
Scars and tears through the years wish that I could disappear
Everything’s shades of blue, no hope no use
Dark as the sky at midnight I cry, rivers and seas, oceans so deep

In a life with no sunrises only sunsets and regrets

A/N: No, I did not write this song. Trish Thuy Trang did on her new album, Shades of Blue and this happened to be one of the few songs of hers that I really liked. And now you know why this fic is called Shades of Blue *celebrates*. Yay! Sorry, I had to make this a little short, cause I just wanted to be mean and leave you hanging like this *makes evil face* And I realize not a lot of people are reading anymore *makes sad face* But I hope some more people read, or else I might not write a sequel. (And trust me, you might want a sequel)
