I still remember your smiling face as the sunshine illuminated the day.
your unforgettable presence, I have locked safe in my mind
soon, too soon, everything became rocky.
we saw each other less, spoke less, what happened?
the hopes I had slowly died and faded away as I look at your solemn expression.
my heart squeezed as you spoke the bitter words 'goodbye'
the shock is burned into my memory, the sad ending of the year.
the secrets we shared from last winter are still kept safely in my heart.
must we end something beautiful here?
I told myself I musn't cry; musn't let a tear roll down and show my weakness.
but in truth, I put up a tough front,
only to go home and cry myself to sleep.
