I think shes pretty smart, as is Sessler, but I feel like theyve dumbed down the show so much, the charm is gone. Its like that with a lot of programs, though. They get a budget, and the kitch dies.
I really feel like they wrecked it. Its like "heres an interview with this developer" via a screen ala CNN. And then "Heres a software engineer who's brought us this latest game ... lets play it a bit." All the humor is gone now, and like I said, it feels like theyre just whoring to the developers. =/
Wow, you've stuck with X-play a lot longer than Lee and I did. We realized it was sucking about a year ago =P
But that was apparently before they changed the format--we were just getting tired of all the pop-culture references and the repetitive jokes/talking cut-outs routines.
See, I liked all that. I liked it best when it was still in San Fran cause it felt like being in someone's living room to a certain extent. Now, like I said to Gregg ... its like theyre pandering to the developers and trying to put a positive spin on crappy games by having all this hands on crap instead of actually reviewing the games.
