A Lily Among the Thorns - I know it's in the Song of Solomon ... :/

Beautiful installment. So /Marauders/!

::grins:: The movie I was thinking of was actually A Knight's Tale - because I am a dork - but yeah. ::grins again:: I'm a bit of a Latin geek (I had to take it for five years), so I use Latin every once in a while, even if I have to translate it myself. :)

Yeahh, I like Latin as well. I used it in a fic of mine -- Plenus Orbis. The translations might not be entirely spot on because I had my mom translate them, and she took Latin a while ago.

ooh! I am liking this series of yours very much- great characterizations! I can't wait for more chapters... eh, eh? *nudge nudge wink wink* :D

At first the "siri" "rem" and "romy" pet names wore on me a bit, because it just made them sound so girly, but it's actually kinda cute after a while i guess :D great fic!!!!!! loved lily's discussion w/ her friends... all of it was cute ^_^

Well, in my defence, Andromeda is a girl, and, for this particular fic, I preferred 'Romy' to 'Andy' (or 'Meda' - but I don't think I've ever used that). As for the others, well, the use of the nickname 'Siri' has a point to it in this fic, and, honestly, I shorten everything (I'm from Boston, it's what we do), so I wasn't trying to be girly.

Glad you like it, though!

I *love* the reciprocal cajoling! (*excellent* line: "Black pleaded, a look on his face that would have put a real puppy to shame.") Like Lily, I expected Remus to get the upper hand.

They're how old in this chapter? Twelve? Gosh, Sirius is already a little manipulator!

We know from canon that Sirius tended to get his way - James, too, actually. And Remus does get his way sometimes, he can make Sirius do all sorts of things - but we fangirls already know all about that, don't we? ::wicked laugh::

Yeah, they're twelve-ish. Remus is the only one of them whose actual birthday we know, and he turned twelve in March of his first year. James's birthday is, presumably, sometime in the summer (he's fifteen during the pensieve scene Harry sees in 'Snape's Worst Memory' which takes place at the very end of his fifth year), so he's likely the youngest of the Marauders. As for Sirius, Peter, Lily, and Snape, as far as I know, we have no hints as to when their birthdays are, something I've been dying to find out for ages (thus my intense stalking of Rowling's website's 'Wizard of the Month'). So, in this chapter, Remus is twelve (it's close to the end of the year), James is still eleven. The others are somewhere in there as well. But, yes, Sirius is already a little manipulator. He's been brought up to it. He is ( ... )
