Hello, everyone! I'm your new, third (and hopefully final, lol) mod, helium_icons, also known as helium_lost. I've heard that this contest has had low participation in the past, but I'm hoping that some changes and promotion will change that.
So, here's what I'm going to do:
♥ Affiliate with about a million communities
♥ Change the submissions schedule to allow people to have the weekend to work on icons
♥ Provide two themes each week: One general, one image provided, so that people don't have to dig around so much for pictures ^^
I've also given the community a new layout featuring the Korean animation Iloveegg.
So, with that said, I'll start the next challenge as soon as there are at least TEN comments (from different people) on this entry expressing interest. "Interest" counts as submitting icons, voting, or both. I'm not expecting all ten commenters (is that a word?) to participate every week, but even if at least half of them participate through either submitting or voting, that'll probably keep the community alive. Hell, hxh_icontest was brought back from the dead by me and runs pretty smoothly with just five or six active members ^^;
With that said, comment away! :P I'm off to go promote like crazy now. Oh, and here's a promotional banner if you'd like (it'll be the one I'm using):
