I spent about two hours at work yesterday believing that I had (personally) invalidated all of our data for the last three years.

I did not care for the experience.

We actually have daily backups.

I wasn't worried that I had retroactively invalidated our data.

I was worried that I had been producing invalid data for the last three years without anyone noticing.

Ouch.

That's one good reason to <3 the cloud for data backups. If done right, they are easy to verify.
