House Successfully Warmed

Alyssa and I had a housewarming at our new place last Saturday. We both had a splendid day from start to finish. Thanks to everyone for making the trek into our beshadowed nook between The Suburbs Named For Trees.

It's a way better game than anyone gives it credit for, although you need to include the "Make Mommie Sit on the Bench" and "Inside is where we say 'Hi', Outside is where we say 'Hello' " parts of the game in order to get the full effect.

Also, the carpet in there is going to need to be replaced or cleaned before I play that game again.

And in general, it was a fabulous housewarming. I don't know if I can express just how much the "new" tables add to the ambience, and how beautiful they look separately. Since I don't know, I will continue to mention it as the mood strikes me.

The carpet is one of many things about that structure that needs work. I think the whole things needs to be both better sealed against moisture and bugs and cats and better ventilated... and I'm not sure how to do that.

Alyssa wanted me to tell you that she misinformed you. There are not one, but two public libraries in Fort Collins now, and they've been debating about building a third.
