I woke up craving the dark, sweet flavor of a non-existent bread. I kept trying to come up with a recipe for it while I was getting ready for work.
Maybe it should be baked with cassava flour. I felt certain it was sweetened with cake-grade powdered sugar, and then... anise? Sort of close, but the flavor is off. Black sesame seeds would look right, but they taste like sesame, and that isn't right either.
Maybe someday I'll eat something and think, "Oh! That's what it was."
