Ah, Georges Brassens :) I know Mauvaise Reputation and Copains d'abord by heart and my friends and I would often sing it together back in Poland.

Yes, he's great.
His Jeanne is one of the very few songs that can actually make me cry.
And Mourir pour des idees is just fantastic and so very true.
