I don't understand all of it, but I'm fairly certain I see (St.) Petersburg in that first sentence. Also, being able to translate four words in a row ("когда такое небо видела") makes me feel ridiculously accomplished. I know, I'm lame. But anyway: beautiful colors!

You're quite a Russian enthusiast! Four words in a row is basically "I can read Russian". And yes, these are shots from my recent St Petersburg demarche which I mentioned. It's only too bad I didn't take a snapshot of pancakes. Man, I ate plenty of them in the span of three days! Moscow needs to gets its act together and acquire a pancake house chain, or three.

It's weird, yes. More strange that you don't publish English translation along with the Russian posting, remembering that you have so many good foreign frends. ;)

"I can read Russian!" (with an exclamation mark, mind you) is exactly what I've been telling myself. 127 episodes of "Бедная Настя" paid off after all, haha.. - Online translation? I certainly don't need it! (On the other hand, if you wrote something in Slovenian....)

No pancake house chains in Zagreb either! In fact, I only know of ONE pancake house, period. Needless to say, it's a rather popular space. Also: I love pancakes.

Is it weird that I rely on assuming I can actually understand whatever it is that I'm trying to read in a language I don't actually speak? Hm.
