Letter to the Tennessean

I sent the following letter to the author of the first article that I posted from the Tennessean:

Anita,

I left a phone message with you last night and I wanted to provide you with more information regarding the situation at my son’s school.

Lawyer contacted ACLU.

They talked.

i.e., we are now ahead of the 4-5 week time lapse on submitting info in writing for advice from the ACLU, and TEMPORARILLY recieving free legal advice. Shhh.... be vewy vewy quiet...

Lawyer called back, wants us to find out if it happens in 6th grade too... says that info is "very important" and that YES, what they did was illegal.

It is my hope we can piggy back our info and situation into the current suit... we'll see.

The answer to that is no they supposedly only do that in the 5th grade.

I am told by another parent that in later years they do receive some education about religions but that it is more about history and less about religion. I have no confirmation on that and I won't know first hand until cody reaches said grade. I believe that is in one of the next three years of education.
