Oh, poor Anna. I can certainly see how you were thinking of the words and the meaning behind Wherever You Are - she is the lonely wife who has been left behind, not knowing if he'll ever come home again, and literally doing her duty/duties to get through the days. The idea of her knitting is a very poignant one, which also made me think of the wives sending off those Christmas parcels to the men serving abroad in The Choir.

Thank you. This is really touching. (And while I'm counting on JF giving M/M a few moments in the sun - or snow - in the special, it's about time A/B also got some happiness!)

ETA: Sorry for the double post. LJ threw a wobbly while I was getting excited at being able to preview something again.

Thanks :) I'm really pleased you liked it! I wanted to write something more fluffy but this plot bunny just wouldn't go away! Fits with the Christmas Special anyway doesn't it!

(sorry about the editing, stupid computer selected wrong icon!)

Poor, poor Anna. This is wonderful characterization -- keeping busy and doing something useful is exactly what she would do.

I so hope there will be some good news for Bates in the special!

Thanks I'm glad you think so!

Well there wasn't bad news...I fear his acquittal will be spread out all over series 3!
