How hard it must be to sit and wait and hope and wait... My heart really bleeds for Andromeda here, especially as we know what is to come of course. What you've conveyed so well is how brave she is, despite all the fears of a lifetime going through her mind right now, and what a survivor she is because of them. I love the fact that she's sat there with her wand all ready - no one is going to get past her to get to Teddy, are they?

Lovely job. :)

My heart really bleeds for Andromeda here, especially as we know what is to come of course.
Mine too, hence the weepiness, and yet I couldn't stop writing it!

I've done a bit of thinking about Andromeda, for this, the other drabble I posted and my AU (Recovery, which I will get back to soon!) and I think you're right Andromeda is brave, it takes bravery to survive all that life has thrown at her after all but she doesn't see herself that way. But there ain't nobody getting her grandson whilst there's still breathe in her body ;)

Honestly writing this made me mad at JKR all over again, the Tonkses get such a raw deal yet the Malfoys survive intact. War isn't fair but still I do wonder about the message that sends out. JKR probably never gave a moments thought to that dynamic though :(

Seeing the film on Friday, very worried about crying in the cinema!

Well that's what it says in my book anyway! lol!

I hope to get back to my AU soon in which that will be the case (eventually anyway!)

This really makes me feel for Andromeda -- she's had a hard life in so many ways, and so much loss already. But her sense of hope is really striking here, too, and the way she focuses on protecting Teddy -- on getting done what needs to be done.

(And I have to say that I was glad to see you say you were writing an AU -- there is never too much denial!fic in the world, lol.)

Thanks :) I really feel Andromeda got a raw deal :( She would have to have had a lot of strength to get through it all and yes a lot of hope too otherwise how could she do it.

Yes I'm writing an AU called Recovery. The first chapter is here, posted that as one of my Winterval goals and then just not had chance to get back to it. Will do soon! Seeing the film tonight so that might inspired me even more!
