The USA 2010 Job - T Minus 50 days and counting.

It's only 50 days until work!bff and I leave for the USA and CON-Con (Leverage convention). We've planned four chock-a-block weeks, filled with Leverage, driving, sightseeing, music, and lots of fun.

Somehow, I don't think me taking LOTS OF PICTURES will be a problem. EVER. I'll be coming home with thousands and thousands and those will just be of Christian. There'll be a heap more for the rest of the trip. LOL!

I'm taking my laptop and the most of the hotels we're staying at have free wifi so hopefully I'll be able to post from the road and bore you all with mindless details... or at least a couple of photos. :)

It's really exciting, especially now it's got to the stage that it's only a month and a bit away. When I can say it's less than a month away, I'm going to be a mess trying to concentrate on anything else. *sigh*

Work!bff really wanted to see the Red Sox play so we really hit the jackpot being in Boston for the opening games of the 2010 season. Having them play the NY Yankees was just the icing on the cake. \O/ Baseball, beer, and hotdogs FTW. \O/

It is going to be so much fun! We're probably not going to want to see the inside of a car for a very very long time afterwards but it'll be great. :)

It will take us almost 17 hours flying time just to get to Portland. Travelling for all that time definitely makes staying a while longer worthwhile.

This sounds like a totally amazing trip! I once did a road trip with my best friend through the western states (and yes, driving and watching the scenery change is almost as great as visiting all those wonderful places), and we still intend to do that again on the east side of the US.

Please try and give updates, I'd love to read and see more of your trip.

Most of the places we are staying at while we're driving (eg. el cheapo motels) have free wifi so I'm hoping to be able to update quite regularly. Unfortunately, we probably won't have it in Portland but I'm sure there'll be a Starbucks around.

I probably shouldn't mention then that I got up at 5:00am this morning, when tickets went on sale for CK, so I could book mine. I still can't believe that I'm getting to see him live. Eeeek! I'll have my camera with me so I'll try and post some photos of him too. :)
