It's just un-civilised and cruel, and is simply about control through brutality. There is a glimmer of hope that there could be justice - "Pakistan to probe girl's flogging".

This is encouraging news. I just hope it's being investigated out of genuine concern for the victim (and so many others like her), and not merely because this single incident happened to capture the attention of the international media.

You couldn't be more right, Mr. Pez. I actually read the Qur’an in school, and these people have corrupted most, if not all, of the teachings therein to suit their personal and political agendas, i.e. complete control and subjugation. And this sort of brutality is meted out thousands of times, every day, to countless numbers of innocents.
