This is a perfect example of why importing exotic species is almost always a terrible idea. I can't begin to describe how destructive these little monsters are, and how fast they breed!

Eh, I forgot the name of it, be we also have some type of non-native fish like the piranha. Also not sure as to if it is common in lake Michigan or one of the connecting lakes. Anyway, it is from Asia (China?) and eats everything.

As for when will people learn, probably when they are no longer on this planet.

Yes, someone was telling me about that very same fish recently. I think it's called a snakehead. It's supposed to be quite fearsome, and devours native fish like crazy.

There's another one here in Illinois called a grass carp, too, I believe. I'll have to do some Googling on it. Invasive species are a huge problem back home. Looks like it's not much different here.

Sadly, you're probably right. :(

That would be one busy princess, Toni. These little monsters have infested Australia by the millions, and each female lays anywhere between 10,000 to 35,000 eggs at a time (twice a year!).

Have a peek at this:

10,000-35,000! WOW! Are they Catholic? hehehe

Haven't they heard about "birth control?" hehehe

I can see where they are a pest for sure. Thanks for sharing the article.
