Less tired than I was yesterday, which is excellent. I miss being able to travel and not finding it hugely tiring at the end point. Oh to be a hyper 14 year old again...then again maybe not. Of course the one hour commute to work doesn't help - and driving long distances is SO boring. But Eaglesham moor is definitely the way to go home, especially ( Read more... )

Thank you! Me too - he phoned earlier and the main problem seems to be boredom. "I actually can't wait to be back at Sandhurst doing something" were his words. I'm most impressed by how he managed to get through his parade on Sunday with that thing on his arm.

Ewwwwwwwwwwwwww. What was it he was bitten by? I can't imagine needing surgery for an insect bite!

Eaglesham Moor is gorgeous on a good evening. All you can see is sun and sky.

We're not sure about the insect. There were a bunch of horseflies about apparently - although seriously, it's February. They should not be out yet!!!

It's surgery under a general anaesthetic too! Intense stuff for an infection, but then Mum had a similar sort of thing a couple of years ago when she cut herself at work. If we didn't have anaesthetics she would have lost her arm.

I'd suspect the horseflies - I once got a pretty nasty infection from a horsefly bite - nothing as bad as your brother, but it did ooze pus a lot...

Right enough Li seen a bumblebee the other day and there have been a lot of moths about. The temperature has shot up so much in the past week that I wouldn't be surprised if it has triggered a lot of insects.
