Neville heard a sigh and looked up from his Herbology revising. Harry was sitting across from him, not doing his own revising, in spite of the fact his books were stacked all around him. Harry was, in fact, staring off into the corner. Neville turned his head, already knowing what he would see.
Ginny and Dean were sitting close together on one of the sofas at the far side of the room. The soft sound of her laugh reached his ears.
Neville turned back to his Herbology, stealing one more look at Harry. As Neville picked up his quill, he felt a tiny bit of satisfaction at seeing the lovesick look on Harry's face. Really, Harry was being so obvious - it seemed to Neville that the only person who hadn't noticed that Harry fancied Ginny was Ron.
Neville had watched Ginny over the past five years as she waited for Harry to notice her.
It was now payback time.
