It's funny, around these parts of fandom "comics" pretty much means the superhero variety, but as a kid, that wasn't what I read. I knew who Superman and Batman were, but that was more because of TV and movies than because of comics. I had only the vaguest idea of Spider-Man and Wonder Woman, and I had never heard of X-Men or the Avengers

But, maybe it's a scandinavian thing? 'cause I had pretty much the same experience with comics. Including the Phantom and Agent X9 and Tintin and Spirou and Valhalla (Loke rules! hee). And the Knights of Dor, but that was later (utterly brilliant fantasy by InkaLill), and of course the comicstrips books, like Nemi and Pondus and Eon.
Also, been trying to remember since you wrote Modesty up in your League... Was Garth the time-travelling detective dude?
On DC and Marvel, I like the Vertigo line and X-Men, but they're not _real_ the way I consider Modesty to be, or Valhalla. Like DC and Marvel have fake comicbooks, kind of.

I see you're using one of the Nemi icons. :-) I'm cutting them down rather mercilessly for the mood thing - I want it to be 60/60 instead of 100/100, so they don't take up too much space.
