My dream scene - or fixit fic I suppose - is one where Hook tells Emma all about Milah, and in the telling makes plain how much he loved her, and how much he missed her. It makes him a better man - IMO - to have loved deeply and well once already.

And yeah, I hate it when fans try to brush it off as "he never really loved her" or "she never really loved him." As if it's not possible to love two people in a lifetime (especially a lifetime that long).
