bit of fic advice needed

Starting yet another fic - God, the number I start and never finish! - and I have a dilemma, namely, none of the characters are in all the scenes. This is one of my least favourite things about fic, that I can't just show people doing things but have to decide how I'm telling the story. *g

As a fantasy/scifi reader from waaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyy back, along with being a huge Georgette Heyer fan, I really *like* reading omniscient third. It's great story telling voice - especially if you have lots of plot and lots of characters.

I will say, though, that writing that voice is harder than I thought it would be....even though I keep trying it.

Yeah, I'm leaning that way - it is a tough voice, but so is getting into a bunch of new characters' heads and getting it right. I'll give it a try and see how it works out.
