OMG - somehow I never took the time to realize that Emma in Young Riders was a young Melissa Leo!!

I watched that show in it's original prime time run.... and yes, she was one of the very best parts - always utterly believable, and as I recall, she tended to bring out the best performances in the 'boys' as well.

I am ashamed to admit that I still haven't seen her in anything else. I keep meaning to and then not doing it. But I know that she's been given good reviews in a bunch of stuff, and that makes me happy.

She has been more or less excellent in everything I've ever seen her in. She went on to a cop show.... set in Baltimore, of which I currently totally forget the name but it was the critics' darling in the pre Wire epoch. And her latest run in film has been nothing short of awesome.
