Yeah. The worst part is all the people defending it. I mean, Swedes can be pretty clueless about race, but I had hoped we all knew better than THIS.

Yeah, I heard about that on the radio this morning. One of the few times I've actually REALLY contemplated calling in to "Ring P1" and explained to people what racism is and why it IS a big deal.

Worst of all was the person responsible for the party saying live on the radio that "the boys didn't mean anything by it, so it wasn't racist". *headdesk*

Yeah, I can't believe how many people are complaining that the protesters are too sensitive and that there's no reason why the combination of blackface + slavery + ropes + "nigger" should hurt anyone at all.

Like one of the saner commenters said, it's like saying "I've never had cancer, therefore cancer doesn't exist."
